Aren't Libraries for Books???

Dear People of the Pontiac Branch,

IN MY OPINION: Libraries are here, so that those of us seeking knowledge, have access to it.  I understand that libraries also provide entertainment for some.  Entertainment for you to have in your own home.  By that, I mean books to read, movies to watch, and music to listen to.  Most, if not all, libraries have computers.  I am not 100% sure what library systems had in mind when the decided to have computers.  However, I would bet money, that they did not intend for you to come to the library, EVERY DAY, to get on Facebook and Black Planet all day.  You want to check your status, great.  You want to send some emails excellent.  But to sit at the library, for hours on end, facebooking, tweeting, myspacing, or black planeting, that's just not right.  I know, I made up some verbs there, I apologize.  The fact that you are at the library ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, leads me to believe that you don't have a job.  So why not use this FREE resource, to find employment.  To get a life.  Work with me people of the pontiac branch!

Dear Parents near the Pontiac Branch...

The pontiac branch is not your free, personal day care service. 

1. They do not have a refrigerator to store your child's lunchables.  Why are you sending your children to the library with food anyway?  
2. You cannot call the pontiac branch, asking if your child is there.  They do not keep a sign in sheet with the current patrons names.  
3. You cannot call the pontiac branch requesting to speak with your child.  See #2 above.  Furthermore, what makes you think you can call a public place requesting to speak with a customer????
4. Your child should not be at this place from the time the doors open, until the time that they close.  You don't have a job, why are your children not at home with you???

In closing, I believe that the workers of the pontiac branch, should call the Department of Child Services when children with no supervision are there all day everyday.  Alright, that's all....for now ;-)...

Well Well Well....

My bestie works at a special place, I don't want her to get in trouble, so I won't give too many details on the location, or her position, but she see's some very special stuff at work.  Enough, that I thought most of it was blog worthy.  I will tell stories that she tells me, and hopefully get some pictures going!!!
